This past weekend I went to Dyke Marsh along the Potomac River. It's just a little south of Alexandria, VA. It was my first time there. It is one of the largest fresh water tidal wetlands in the Washington DC area. There is a nice trail to walk along and the scenery is quite nice.
There are many birds here but I only managed to photograph some nesting ospry (fischadler in German). It was an interesting time and worth another visit.
